Intro: I have lots of opinions. I’ve always wanted to have a platform to express them (that also pays me for them), and now I’ve found Medium. Since reading is my favorite thing to do, most of my opinions are about books. Whether they’re worth reading, how well they represent themes that are relevant to contemporary times, every reason why certain characters are my favorite. Usually, I read fiction, but I’ve recently started reading nonfiction. I feel the most familiar with analyzing and assessing fiction, but I hope to use writing stories as a way to synthesize and further question all I discover as I start wading in that deep pool nonfiction reading. For now, I’ll start with recommending an awesome young adult novel titled Zenn Diagram that I read not too long ago.

Popularity comes with consequences. Gossip, backstabbing, and hierarchy battles abound. Eva Walker is content with anonymity. Clawing her way up the social ladder is the least of Eva’s worries when the brush of a fingertip against someone else or their belongings floods her mind with all their secrets, their insecurities, their fears. Casual hugs, arm punches, shoulder grabs, and pokes are all out of the question for Eva unless she wants to know way more about a person than either of them would be comfortable with.

So many books, so little time. Someone needs to invent something to transfer all my stories directly from my brain to my word docs so I have more time to read.
